Orpheus was founded in 2014 by the team behind 1Cover, the largest independent Travel insurer in Australia and New Zealand.

With a software background, they set out to build a ground-up solution to keep customers front and centre of the insurance experience.

Orpheus have built a micro-services based Java stack, with Spring Boot and the rest of the Spring stack driving most of the solution, along with a variety of data and ML technologies, deployed entirely with Docker on AWS.

It's an end-to-end solution encompassing marketing and ecommerce; multi-channel customer service; claims, underwriting; and business intelligence.
